Welcome to the AM Picture Library
This is an unusual and unique Image Library, perhaps best described as a collection of groups of images from diverse places and times. There are B&W pictures from the 1960's of Australia, colour (Kodachrome still bright after 50 years). Diverse places through the decades, Morocco, Africa, Egypt, Greece, Indonesia, Thailand, China and Australian Images taken on assignment for magazine or for multi-screen Audio Visuals. While the majority of the work is by David Beal there is a major contribution by Stuart Owen Fox, particularly Technorama (6x17cm) images in the 1980's and 1990's. It incorporates photographs from the 1960's and later by Australian photographer, David Beal. The AMPL expanded in the 1970's to produce images for Audience Motivation, a pioneer Multi-screen AV production company based in Sydney, Australia, and working throughout Asia. Leading photographers, including Stuart Owen Fox and Philip Quirk were major contributors. However, by the mid 1990's video projection made slide projection redundant. The AMPL was mothballed. Now the AM Picture Library is back in business - with iconic and vintage images.
